Every day, the body expends energy to various internal functions and external activities. Also uses the energy to fuel the body's cells. Calories that are left after all these scratches are "empty calories" retains the body as fat for later use.The food you eat plays an important role in determining the conservation of fat by the body, as the amount of physical activity performed. Eating too many fattening foods by adopting a sedentary lifestyle is the main reason for weight gain. Quantity and quality
Certain foods provides more calories than the other, although the same amount of weight. For example, macronutrient lipid contains twice as many calories carbohydrate or protein. Therefore, a food like butter provides more calories than a piece of chicken breast (in equal amounts), simply because the butter provides two times more calories than protein from chicken.
This does not mean that you should avoid fats because the good fats are crucial to the harmonious functioning of the body. What is needed is a prudent and moderate whole and healthy food consumption, which provides the necessary nutrition without increasing the account beyond caloric intake. Ideally satisfying eat foods that do not gain weight, in order not to increase the calorie intake.
